We had a couple bids of around 75 an hour. The township likes it bid by the mile so we know what the bill is going to be. We have them bid it by the mile and that is what we pay on. This year the bid was $26/ mile. This is on maintained gravel roads that is done 8 times from spring to fall. If there is heavy grading such as a section line then they get paid by the hour and heavy grading is usually l0-20 dollars an hour more than regular road grading.
If you plan on using a 3pt blade your rates would have to be lower in my opinion because you would not have down pressure or cutting power to blade a road that is wash boarded.
There are several different brands of pull type bladers on the market now for around 10,000. One brand i know of is called "HY GRADE" graders, it is a heavy pull type out fit.
One other thing if you decide to do public roads is insurance, my premium for one year is just over 800 dollars and i do around 11,000 dollars of township work per year, so its not cheap.
