I have an old truck scale platform that needs to be demolished. It is about 12" x 12" with 4 foot deep reinforced concrete footings around the outside (about 12-14" thick). I need to cut or break the footings into sections that I can lift out with a 20 ton excavator. Has anyone used one of the newer concrete cutting chainsaws with diamond tipped chains? The other alternative that I can think of is a gas powered jackhammer. I have a gas powered cutoff saw that I can cut rebar with. Anyone have any advice or ideas on cutting the footings into manageable pieces?
