i am looking at adding a dump kit to my 97 GMC 2500 series P,U. I kept a '72 Chev 1 ton dump for many years, but did not use it regularly and it always needed a battery charged or replaced along with a couple of hours of tinkering to crank it and always tags and insurance.
Finally got tired of the aggrevation and sold it last fall. I was wondering what the good,bad and ugly is on these units if anybody has one. Looking at some they claim to be good for 2 tons or so of load. Any advice would be appreciated, Gene
