If you just want one to maintain your yard with then a new yard tractor like John Deere or New Holland or any of the major brands would be the way to go as far as trouble free, dependable and parts and service friendly go. If you want to take a more hands on approach or have a love for old tractors then attend a few tractor shows in your area and see which ones catch your fancy. The old ones can work hard and they speak to the heart but there isn't much more frustrating than needing a part you can't get and watching your lawn grow wild!
