I was desperatly looking to replace the rotted rims for my Dad's 47 John Deere BR and eventually found a rim that was 2" wide but ok otherwise. I took it to several welders before I found someone who would do the work. They narrowed the rim down and made a second rim by combining the remains of the two rotted rims. All this cost about $500 (Canadian).CAUTION !!!! the shop that did this work was licenced for pressure vessel welding. The shops that wouldn't were not and would not do the job for that reason. An inflated tire and rim assembly has A LOT of stored energy and can maim or kill if it explodes. Please protect yourself and others in regard to this type of repair.
