What engine is it... if the original V8-470, they were VERY prone to the cam bushings turning in the block. It was possible to send the blocks away to get the bores line-bored to a larger size, or MANY were simply changed out for the V8-504,which already had the thicker shell cam bearings.
Some were swapped out for Cummins "C" Series in-line 6's, but the V-8 turned 3000 RPM's and your ground speeds get messed up with a 2100 to 2500 RPM engine.
At one time (early 70's) the VAL and VALE engines were a CHEAP engine to OH, now the parts are ASTRONOMICAL.
Back in the day, aftermarket companies like Sealed Power make liner kits and bearings, though it seemed the Cummins liner kits were better, and competitively priced (at that time).
Last I checked Cummins could still supply anything needed (at a price) and I don't know what the aftermarket has, but it wouldn't be too tough to find out.
Around here, you be lucky to get $2500 for a good running tractor, and you'll quickly spend that getting your proposed money pit in running order.
And it will be a NOISY and uncomfortable "ride" (by today's standards) with a poor hydraulic system.
Oh, yeah, did I mention I still have one of the gems, as sort of a "pet".
