JOB said: (quoted from post at 07:34:28 04/10/10) Some of you guys must have rubarb on your places. What is the best location to plant? Full sun, East side of the house, or West side? What is the best fertizler to use, or do you not fertizle. You guys that have the big thick stalks and healthy plants, what do you suggest?
Thanks for any input.
We had a patch doing quite well on the north side of a garage, in the shade, but the garage was to be torn down, so we dug the rhubarb up, divided it, and transplanted it to a location on the east side of another small building. The rhubarb didn't care, didn't seem to even know it had been moved. We do not fertilize it or anything else. Just let it grow and harvest as needed.
