I’d check all the easy stuff first….try it in position and draft, is the oil level good, filters? Try and get something heavy on it and work it if it’s been stuck up for a long time. Those rods that you mentioned from the rock shaft to the drawbar…..are you sure they are not part or the early type drawbar pickup hitch???? I’ve never see one here, but many UK tractors had a large hook draw bar…..early ones were raised and lowered by rods connected to the rock shaft arms. There was a latch type lever that you pulled, and you could drop the hook, back under a trailer/implement with a ring end, then pick it up (by operating the 3pt) without getting off the tractor. These used to rust up/jam up pretty good! The hook was interchangeable with a normal clevis end. It’s been a long time, so my description is probably a bit sketchy, but could it have one of these? The whole draw bar receiver under the axle would hinge down. (I don’t mean one of those little 8n type flat bars). If nothing else works then you’ve probably got to lift the top cover and check it out inside. Look on the Ford forum for info on this. Chris
