I know I'm going to picked on for this suggestion...
I wear latex exam gloves when working with grease and oil. When I'm done, they go in the trash. No smell left on my hands and no grease under finger nails. Your hands don't get that raw feeling from scrubbing the grease and odor out of them.
I have also found that my knuckles don't ache the next day the way they do when I don't wear gloves. I attribute this to no allowing the oils to absorb into my skin.
