As Dave points out, the steel in the walls kills the signal. You might need a radio expensive enough to have an antenna connection. Then use a coax to twin lead dongle to connect coax to the radio. on the other end of the coax, (outside) put about 3 meters of wire for FM, and as long as you can for AM. Do not allow it to be parallel and near the building or it too will have capacitive dampening of signal. Jim
