Wild ones grow here in Western NY. Problem is one can starve to death trying to get enough to do something with them. I think wild raspberries are similar - they seem to be a bit sweeter than most tame ones. Concerning the pork, I think one of the problems with pork is farmers are trying to raise them so fast they don't have time to develop good flavor. With a tiny profit margin I guess they don't have much choice.
