OK, this was at an auto body shop. Went in, and got an estimate for straightening a truck frame. Well, thought I would get an estimate. After listening to the "owner" complain about how hard his job was, he finally agreed to give me a written estimate, on a scrap of paper, that said, "Will call if more!" Got the job done at another place, they had all kinds of ASE diploma's and certificate's on the wall, by the time they got done with the poor thing, it was more twisted, and the fan was hitting the radiator. Another auto body shop, a popular chain, I had a different truck painted. They always run a special, something like $199 to paint a car. So I did all the body work myself, (The HARD part) and took it to them to be sprayed. First, trucks cost double. Second, 2 days later, called me and said they had RUN OUT of the color I picked! Half way through the job!!! Went down there, picked another fairly close color, they acted like it was my fault, and by the time it was done, a BIG run on the door under the mirror. Ended up costing about $500, which is cheap for a paint job, but could have done it for 1/2 price, and a lot better if I would have sprayed it in the dirt outside my shop. HORRIBLE experiences.
