anyway of oiling the tach or is that the worse thing a guy can DO ? ? ,, needle ocasionally bounces wildly....1966 ,430 Case ..after reattaching Tach Cable , it may have run to far up into the meter , but I doubt it , seemed to work fine before in spite of its age ,, this is a standard generic style round tachometer that is common to other tractors makes of that era ,,, durn thang got to making a whiszing , buzin sound ???, at first ?, I thought hydraulic pump was trying to give it up,. whizin stopped after adjusted depth of cable , Sprayed WD 40 into the end of meter where cable attaches ... stuill jumpn needle.. ?
