I bought a cart from a friend the year before I had hip surgery. It was the best money I ever spent. I felt it gave me back my yard! I was so happy to have it. I would definitly recommend it for your wife. Even now after recovering I still use it quite often. I bought an ATV and still prefer the golf car for around the ard things. Easy to get in and out of and will haul a LOT. Talk to a couple golf car repair shops. Most courses rent or lease their cars from someone and they trade some out every year. Mine is gas and I love it. I have friends that have electrics and think the world of them too.
