A rear mount is by far and away faster, do a better job and WAY, WAY more accurate because of those large stabilizing discs that hold the cultivator locked on the row. The tractor can "wander around" and the cultivator stays put. Far more forgiving and ya don't have to "watch the row" nearly as much as you do with a front mount.
Somebody show me a front mount that will perfectly cultivate a short crop at 8 mph and I'll concede. :>)
(1)A stabilizing disk on a RM cult keeps from plowing/covering up crop. So are you stating that even with turning from side to side of frt wheels of tractor(which is normal if operator looks back) no crops will be affected because stabilizer wheel will hold cultivator to a point to keep dirt off of crop?
(2) With same type of rotary hoe,sweeps &/or fenders what in your opinion gives a RM the advantage over a FM to cultivate a short crop @ 8 MPH. Thanks,Jim
