John; The laws haven't been changed. All I ask is that you get a copy of Joe Newman's book & he will explain how it is done. His last prototype that he hand built weighs 7500 pounds with a 1650 pound permanent magnet rotor on a 3 inch shaft. A conventional motor that size would require thousands of watts to run it with cables as big or bigger than your thumb. Joe's machine (called The Big Eureka) runs on solar panels,9 volt flashlight batteries or a small ac to dc transformer, all of which are low wattage devices. The imput wires look like 14 or 16 gauge wires, not big cables. Check it out on his website & see for yourself. Thanks, Don.
