I have the manual but it is a little obscure (for the uninitiated, like me) in this area. The part on the draft control operation reads: “Traction Booster Control Lever (figure 30) The Traction Booster control lever controls the Traction Booster system. It is used to set the draft load at which a mounted or semi-mounted implement will operate and maintain a rear constant depth. When the lever is in the full forward position the system is not operative and the implement is allowed to find its own depth. As the lever is moved rearward additional vertical load is applied to the rear wheels until implement raises, then working depth is reduced.” I have tried six positions but can detect little or no difference in performance. I am thinking that possibly if I extend the top link (change the blade cut angle) I will be able to cut deeper but the blade is only a class II design (although it has been reinforced with 4 x 4 angle at some point) and I would prefer not to move too quickly to increase the cut. The part on the position control reads: “Position Control Lever (figure 30) The position control lever, is used to raise and lower the 3-point hitch equipment. Pushing the lever all the way forward fully lowers the lift arms; moving it all the way rearward fully raises the lift arms. In between positions hold the lift arms in intermediate positions. The position control lever should be in the full rear position for maximum ground clearance when transporting 3-point hitch implements to and from the field. It is normally in the full forward position when using Traction Booster system.” I don’t see anything more in the manual that is relevant to this problem. Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

Show Coverage: Journey to Ankeny - by Cindy Ladage. We left Illinois on the first day of July and headed north and west for Ankeny, Iowa. Minus two kids, we traveled light with only the youngest in tow. As long as a pool was at the end of our destination she was easy to please unlike the other two who have a multitude of requirements to travel with mom and dad. Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
