MF165farmer,
Never heard of Whitesville. We had a bunch of supposedly severe storms with possible tornadoes ,straight line winds up to 60 mph + winds, hail and heavy downpours, flooding moving through the area. Was tornado watches and warnings out when I was on my way home ,sis called and told me about it . By the time I got back home, 15 minutes later , they had dropped the tornadoes down to straight line winds. When they got here, it was all smoke and no action. Really couldn't tell that it was supposed to be a severe storm. But , I heard that people east and west of us were under warnings like we were and they might have some damage. I heard that there was at least 32 (?) tornadoes over five states. MrFixit said that he heard that there was one in Mississippi that was over 3/4 mile wide. I'm glad that nothing major happened here ,but it could have had . Weather people talked like it was so bad ,had us all worried , and when it got here ,nothing happened. Just a little lightning , thunder ,some minor wind and a lot of rain. You mean that none of it hit your area ?
