I tried to explain it earlier myself Paul, If it is set in position control that's as good as that tractor is going to do. From reading the continuing discussion I think the feeling is the hitch while not pushing down should be holding it down but as you and I have said it isn't so. Perhaps a ripper could be used to break up the soil in the area before trying to move it with the blade as it would be easier for the blade to move then. Also like I said down pressure is a nice thing about a Farmall but the Farmall system does lack one thing the others have--float. I'm putting a 3pt hitch on my Allis B and I am using a double acting cylinder and a loader valve so I can get downpressure and float.
