I have seen numerous occassions where "cash" also included paying by check. Maybe it depends on the area your in. Maybe it comes from the invention of the credit card where no cash is involved by either party so everything thats not credit gets gouped under cash. Lets face it - a check is safer for the buyer than carrying around a couple of thousand dollars although there is a risk to the seller if you don't know the guy. I quess its like everyone is saying - if all you want is the green stuff then you should specify - and hope the guy isn't printing his own.
