I've been looking for these bags of corn for a couple of days, the last bags of corn for 2010.
When I ran out of corn last night it was 9:30 and I had 7 acres left to plant. Since I had planted untill 11:30 the tuesday night I was tired and I quit and went home.
After chores this morning I went and made short work of the last few rounds. This farm is the first farm outside of Farmington and located on the bypass around town, if you are familiar with that road.
This is the first corn I planted back on April 13. Dont tell anyone but this crop is off to a tremendous start allready. I looked it up and last year we STARTED planting on May 11. What a difference a year can make. I would say 98 percent of the corn is planted here and some guys are planting beans.
The forecast is for rain. Took this pic going to do chores tonight. All is well on the farm. Calves are coming and doing fine. Crops are off to a good start. Weather has been very nice. Wrigley is sleeping at my feet and a little rain tonight would be just fine with me. Hope you all are enjoying the nice spring as well. We will be on to bean planting next week. Then hay baling and next thing you know it will be harvest, time flies when you are having fun!!!! bill
