All of the methods in the replies will work. One method that will work woth any engine that has an oil pressure gage, usually tapped 1/8"NPT, is as follows: Take an old freon container, or any other closed container that will hold about 30 PSI. At the outlet place a shut off valve leading to a hose with a 1/8"NPT fitting. Fill the container with a quart or two of your favorite oil. Either thru the outlet or the fill hole, pressurize the container with air to about 20PSI. Hook the outlet hose to the gage hole on the engine, open the valve slowly. The air in the container will fill the entire oiling sytem with oil so as soon as the engine starts you'll have oil to everything. I can't take credit, na old mechanic friend showed it to me. Good Luck, Paul;
