Guy that brought me some hay a few days ago almost had me feeling sorry for him.... Was short 20 bucks and took it to his house later. Just standing by his gate, I could see 3 big tractors less than 5 years old a couple of like new 3 way dump wagons, a mercedes sedan and a mercedes SUV. They kinda sell their souls to get these subsidies but don't seem to have to think a lot. Government tells them what to plant and when to plant it. Sickening to go on the internet and see what these folks rake in a year just in subsidy. Lady next door is a full time farmer in her early forties. She really works from can see to can't see and does most everything herself with her mom helping some. Her dad fell off a ladder and broke his back a few weeks ago so is recovering kinda slow at 73 years old. She gets less than half per acre than the other guy because of a bunch of if's, and's and but's.
Guess you folks are farming in the wrong country...
