Wesley, The N's have to have the PTO running for the lift to work because that was 1940's technology. I agree that it would have been nice if they could have had live PTO and hydraulics back then. I always cover my PTO when not using it even if it is for a few minutes. It doesn't take very long to screw the cap on.
