Took me three times before I figured out that I could actually retire. Company kept making me offers I couldn't refuse. I worked part time for the last 3-1/2 years and they were some of the best of my 45 year career. The important thing about retiring is don't actually do it. Keep on working, just not at a job. I am busier now than ever, just don't have much of a schedule. For most of us here just keeping the old iron going is a full time job.
