I posted about the V-6 intake manifold gaskets a little while back. Last weekend I started the project. When I got the manifold off, they didn't look as bad as others that I had removed. It has 184K on it now and looks like it had the Felpro gaskets put in it sometime since it was new. I got it back together and first it would not idle. I took it for a drive and after a couple miles it was acting like the cruise control wouldn't disengage. The idle was way too high, around 2500. My son found the EGR gasket on the floor when I backed out. I replaced it and hoped that a vacuum leak was causing the high idle. Tonight I got back to it and it was idling about 2500 again. I disconnected the battery cable hoping it might clear some code. That did not help. Any ideas on where to start to get this under control. It ran fine until I tried to "fix it". Thanks in advance. P.S. I still do not know if I got the coolant leak fixed.
