No.. Not a bed spring, But a few years ago I did some brush-hogging for a long time friend of the family.
My first question (while looking at the 6 foot tall mess) was "Is there anything buried or dumped out there I need to know about?" "No, just vacant land I want to start building on next month"
I get started, get about half mowed down of the 8 acres.. hear a loud bang.. look back and see the blade assembly of the mower laying on the ground.. I figured maybe just the bolt came out or broke.. NO SUCH LUCK. There was a huge chunk of concrete/asphalt/rebar laying there.. and half of the shaft still hooked to the blade of the mower. Luckily (I guess) I didn't get it with one of the tractor tires.. Still don't know how I didn't run it over with at least one tire.
Find out a few days later.. "Well yea, we had a bunch of broken out roadbed/parking lot hauled in for fill last year" .. WOULDN'T THAT HAVE CLASSIFIED AS"Anything I need to know about?".. Well, it was supposed to be buried *I roll eyes at this point*
