I just bought my first tractor about a month ago It is a 1940 9N, got a great deal on it, with a Squealer 600 Bush hog, Bottom Plow and 6 foot back blade all for the same Money. So far I have stripped the entire tractor of all paint, re-painted all of the steering assembly, front end parts, all small parts and right now I am waiting to go out to the paint booth and paint the rest of the engine, trans and rear end, I have it primed and sealed with epoxy primer and sealer which I will have to scuff and hit with an adheision promotoer before I put down a minumum of two coats of color on. I am not a traditionalist, my 9N will be Vermillion Red, with white sheet metal, and all of the bolt on stuff, Pullies, Generator starter, carb ETC will all be Gloss Black. and I am planning to add red stripes on the ribs of the hood, when she is done I will post a picture, hope to be done in about two weeks work is real busy right now.
