Depends on how the tractor is started. ie a few minutes at a time or run all day. Sort of like comparing a taxi to domestic use in a car. Tractors are commercial machines and the type of use varies considerably. Hours may be accumulated over the whole year mowing grass or only during harvest when the machine is used non stop. Regular maintenance may or may not have been performed over the life of the tractor which may be several decades. The tractor may have been kept always under cover but left out for only one night to allow water to enter the transmission. If the reason for the question is life expectency then examine the machine carefully as hours have little to do with its condition. If the question is maintenence then try and settle on a periodic formula ie once a year during winter down time. This is what I do and it seems to work ok.
