I don't know for sure if they are still there, but about 10 years ago, there was a WW2 submarine and a very early battle ship that you could look at. I think the submarine was on static display, as it didn't seem to move around at all, but the old steam ship was definitely floating.
There was an entrance fee for each ship, but I found the submarine especially fascinating. My son and I crawled all through it and got to see how those old diesel subs operated.
We went to a museum that I think was on the East side of Philadelphia, and I recognized the steps that Rocky trained on in that movie.
I enjoyed looking at the many historical sights in Philly, and went to Washington D.C. later in the same trip. But for me, the highlight of the trip was getting the chance to really explore the inside of that old submarine. Lots to see--have fun!
