Hello, I am rebuilding a Perkins 4cyl Diesel in a MF 180. I took the block and had all the machine work done. I left the cam in when I took it to the machine shop and they took it out when they cleaned the block up. I now go to put the cam back in, and it had to much play back and forth. I will slide back and forth probably a quarter of an inch with the thrust washer in. They are closed today otherwise I would call and ask them. Has anyone ever put one of these back together? I have the manuals for it and it doesn't show anything for the cam beside the front bushing, which is new, front thrust washer and thats it besides the gear! Any help would be great. I will also post this in the Massy forum.
