Just returned from Ohio. Picked up slide in camper. While back I posted about putting camper on trailer for hopefull Canadian trip later in summer. Here the situation, I have 93 1/2 ton chev with long ber ext cab, also new GMC 1/2 ton extended with regular 6 1/2 foot bed. Don't really think a trip likr that is good ides with 17 rear old truck with well over 200k miles. Thought of camper on good trailer. In getting slide in home this afternoon, measuring camper is 8foot 4 inches with cabover bed. Setting in yard with coffee cup in hand looking at camper and truck and thinking---yes I know that's usually a bad combination__I said to myself--- Self, why not made a spring loaded single wheel swivel mounted Heavy wheel 10 12 ply 8 to 10 inch diameter attached to heavy 2 inch stock which will mount in reciever hitch on new truck????????? THis should carry 5 to 7 cwt adjust as needed with tension springs as like old baler tension springs. This should keep head lights from shinng on moon even out the load as the weight is not too heavey just wheel base is a little short. Should I try this idea I would HAVE to mount a pulley and alternator which could be easily attached and make sure I drive around the part of Canadian nuke lpand where buickand deere works!!!!!!!!! This pulley and alternator would have to be easily instaled and removealble so RCMP would nor lock me up!! Ok the alternator is a joke buttttttttttttttttt ( thats for John T) the spring tension swivel wheel about 18-20 inches behind bumper and still under the camper is real. Also on this trip I would like to meet with OTHER Tri- Directional owners. sincerely Wilson alis Samuell L Bontregger

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
