You will only get scammed if you let yourself get scammed.
All you need to know is that someone is in your driveway with a pickup truck and a fist full of cash, and you're happy with the price he's paying.
Just don't deal with people that are not willing to come pick up the tiller in person, people that will not pay in cash, and people that cannot communicate effectively in your native language. Don't give them a minute of your time.
