Your story reminds me of a conversation that I had with a gent last year. He is a licenced trapper allowed to trap or shoot nusince animals. He does a lot of residential trapping. Squarls, Chippers, Coons, snakes, and yes woodchucks. We have a bunch of ________ who don't want a critter killed. They pay him a lot of money $20.00 a pop to remove them. Many ask where he releases them. He says "up on my farm" He had a woodchuck in the back of his truck, so I asked the question. His answer "I'll give him a 10' head start up on the farm."
