Use 3 2x8 on each side 4 nails every 16 inches for 4x5 or 5x5 rounds. If you are hauling 6x5 or 6x6 rounds use 2x10s and 5 nails every 16". Best part is you can always add a stringer if you choose to. I would recommend water proofing the stringers before you assemble a rack on top of them even used oil works well
