I have done quite a bit of reaserch on tractor overturns and that is why I decided to get a ROPS put on my tractor. Of the 3 farmers I know who survived rollovers, one was moving a bale and the tractor rolled, he jumped, the other rolled when cutting hay and also jumped. The third on was pulling an old drag plow with a small tractor, as soon as he lowered the plow the front end went up and he jumped clear. I have heard of many more in my area, most of these rollovers are never reported, I heard of one old timer who rolled his tractor a few times. I read about tractor rollovers with ROPS in a study done in the USA, I don't remember the state but of 20 reported rollovers with ROPS one operator was killed. He was not wearing a seat belt and was crushed by his tractor. I am sure that the actual number of rollovers in that state was greater as most were probably not reported.
