Contact your county extension agent and see if he knows or know's of anyone that has laying chickens. My late mom took care of the chickens when we on the farm. We had laying chickens and she raised roosters for eating. I know she fed them mash and cracked corn. They may've bought the mash from our local mill. We had corn ground there for the young stock and pregnant cows that were dry. My late dad had a recipe for adding to the ground corn. Those cows loved that and silage and even made grooves in the concrete when licking up every grain. They had corn meal flour made too. Hal
