Our wettest year in the past three. Took 1 1/2 months to get the first 5 inches, 4 1/2 months to get the next 5 and last week we got 6 1/2. Somewhere near average rainfall for the year to date, but little fell when it did much good. I imagine 5 inches of what we got last week is in the Gulf by now and we already need another rain.
I guess this is your worst year. Looks like the drought is moving east or northeast. Year before last we were just on the eastern edge, last year sort of in the middle and it has been raining fairly regular just to the south and southwest of us this year.
Sure is getting old never knowing when or if you will get a rain. If it will be next week or six weeks. Course, last fall it was raining 3 days at a time every three to four days.
