I had a 91 S-10 that I bought used (it was a couple of years old). I was driving home from work a couple of days later and the odometer jumped 2000 miles by the time I got home. Made me wonder how many miles were actually on the truck. Took it to a dealer to get it fixed and they wouldn't let me drive the truck until it was.....but they did reset the new unit 2000 miles less than the old.

I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
