here's how to tell how much you re planting - use a dirt lane, or even a blacktop road and drop the planter in gear and "plant" as you drive down the lane. Then go back on your hands and knees and count the kernels per yard, or whatever measure you want to see if you are dropping at the desired rate. It is IMPORTANT to drive at the same speed you intend to plant because edge drop plates drop fewer kernels as you go faster.
