Back in like 93-94 it did cause some problems with older pumps that hadn't been rebuild in some time. I looked at it like this, the pumps that had the the problems probably could benefit from being rebuild anyway. If you get some more power, and use a bit less fuel as a result of havign the pump rebuilt, in the end you win. As far as the other engine parts it not an issue. If you are super worried about it use green fuel which is off road high slfer. Just remember to change your oil every 100 hours as the sulfer is quite high People sometimes add stuff to their fuel trying to prevent damamge to the pumps from the low wulfer fuel, this is sort of like throwing $ down a rat hole. Most people start out using it then stop after a couple months. If your pump is old use the $ you would spend on ATF etc to rebuild te pump. In short worry about something that is important, the pump will do whatever the pump is goign to do, not much is going to change that.
