In answer to some questions from last nights post. The show is held on Father's Day each year. Friday night is for the Truckers. Sat. and Sunday are filled with all classes of tractor and garden tractor pulling on two tracks. A parade of tractors on the grounds each day, plus a early morning 10mile tractor ride through the countryside on Sunday, followed by a pancake breakfeast. Then on to plowing ,discing, pulling bulldozing, or just riding around on your favorite ride. No formal rules, just have fun, lean against a tractor tire and talk about anything with everyone. Lots of great food also. The show is held in Sharon Springs NY, 1.3miles off US RT 20 on ST RT 10N. Hay NE Puller: this is 19miles east of Richfield Springs. The Antique truck in the earlier post is a CASE !!! and the owner drove it there. about a 20mile drive. Nancy the little orange Kubota is a bit of an icon, the young lad on it is 12-14 ,I would guess. He spends a good 8 hrs. each show day on it. He has turbo charged it, with his own earned money and even the guys on the Euclid 12packs watch for him. I have never seen him in a situation where he was in danger of being run over by anyone. The term 12pack comes from the two dozers engines. one has a pair of 6-71 detroits powering it, one for each side, and the other has a 12V71 or 92 not sure.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
