I first ran a baler the summer that I was between a kindergardener and 1st grade. This was on a John Deere G with a New Holland 269. Of course, a G has no live clutch. It was real tricky snapping back on the clutch, throwing it in neutral and snapping the clutch back to clear out the baler. I drove, dad rode the trailer and stacked. I also remember driving the G, the 269 and 2 bale trailers about 6 miles to get to the alfalfa field. I grew up on a dairy farm and somebody had to do it, so I guess my dad thought it had to be me. Looking back, I actually did a pretty good job for someone my age. Nowadays, some people would call social services and turn this in for child abuse.
