Old neighbor shared a WC with his brother during WWII. He plowed at night, brother during the day. Everything was rationed during the war. His wife was feeding a cute little fox in the back yard, and it got to killing chickens. He slipped an old top hammer single shot 12 guage over the battery box, and under the gas tank on the WC, figgering that he'd get a glimpse of the fox from the tractor. Sure enuf, as he made an end turn, he spotted his eyes across the corner of the field. Keeping his eye on the fox, he slipped it up in road gear and headed towards him, but he forgot about a little ditch across his path. When the tricycle front dropped in the ditch, the shotgun slid forward, the hammer caught the bottom of the gas tank just right, and Mr. Davis shot the voltage regulator plumb off of the tractor. With his ears ringing and a bloody lip from the steering wheel, the fox got away.
