I will add to that to never use one with a short sleeve shirt. I had a wire fly off the other day and hit me right in the forearm. It hit right in the middle of one of the big veins. Bleed like a son of a gun and after I pulled it out, the skin swelled up about 3/8 inch. After the swelling went down, it turned black and blue. Made about a 2 inch circle before it finally went away in a week.
