I don't go to all the trouble of draining the tank to change out pumps.Just get those mounting bolts out of the bed and unplug the lighting wires and raise that bed up.Use your air hose to clean the dirt and dust off the top of the tank and go to work.I use a chain hoist to rig to the bed and lift it up.The small pickups are a breeze to do this way.I can do it this way while you are draing the gas out to do it from the bottom working under a jack on the floor.I don't have a lift in my shop so this way is easier and not as dangerous.Another plus is you have all the wiring and plumbing right there where you can see what you're doing.
