First off sorry for the off topic but I don't have any idea of where to ask. My mom has been looking for a movie but can't remember the title or the actor in it. Here's what she thinks she remembers. In the begining of the movie the main characters horse dies and he is burying it in the rain. He then gets sent to war and finds a new horse on an island. She thinks it was WWII. When the guy has to leave they won't let him take the horse with him. As the main character is leaving on a ship the horse jumps in the ocean swimming after him. When it gets to the point the horse can't make it back to shore the guys on the boat decide the ramp isn't locked in place right so they lower it long enough for the horse to get in. I know its not much to go on but thats all she can remember.
