Sorry you got it - I got a tiny bit of hail, but 5-10 miles either side of me they got clipped to nothing - corn is just foot high stalk, beans are fuzzy knobs.
It's hard to try to go 1/2 way with this. I was pretty small the last time we had devistating hail around July 1st... Dad left them, they turned into nothing. He actually swathed the beans & used the dummy head to try to harvest.... Probably shoulda went on vacation & save3d the time wasted.
You'll end up with some old damaged beans, and some new beans that won't mature at the same time.
Might be best to start over fresh if you replant?
It's a learning curve any which way you do it, hope one diesn't need to re-use what you learn another year!
Sorry for ya, I had 6.4 inches of rain, 5 of it in 2 hours one nite, 1.4 in two hours the next night, can't see several acres of beans, and the corn is turning black in the holes..... But at least I got good areas left.

The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
