Now called Canada Day. July1st 1867 The British North America Act united 4 maritime provinces and upper and lower Canada to become Ontario and Quebec. It was called the Dominion of Canada. From then on July was known as Dominion Day until 1982 when the constitution was brought home to Canada from Britain. From then on it has been called Canada Day. Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
