Actually.. It's a bit more than that.. Yanmar had to build them to JD specs (which meant some parts had to be made heavier) according to Green Magazine a while back.
Seems like some of the parts would be ones off of the next bigger model of Yanmar, but can't remember what was "beefed up".. Seems like it was the front axle and a few other things.. I'll try to see if I can't find the issue, if someone more knowing don't beat me to it.
Seems like my local JD house has one advertised on the chalkboard behind their counter, but unsure the shape, and I believe it has $5200 on it.. (there's a few things on the board, could be thinking the wrong item)
BTW.. they don't sell tractors/equip other than for customers (consignment kinda thing), they are just a parts/repair facility, so I don't think they'd jack the price up like a normal dealer.. They just help the locals out by writing it on a board where other customers can see whats for sale in the neighborhood.
